Sage belongs to the Lamiaceae family. It is a perennial, evergreen shrub of
temperate regions, with high up to 70 cm. The harvest takes place in spring,
April – May depending on the altitude. It has antimicrobial, expectorant and
antispasmodic properties and is often used in coughs and colds. It is also
emmenagogue, cardiotonic and diuretic.
