Mountain Tea belongs to the genus Sideritis of the family Lamiaceae. It is a
perennial plant native to Greece, with simple shoots and high 10-30 cm. The
harvest takes place from July and August. It has strong anti-inflammatory,
anticoagulant, antihypertensive, antispasmodic, antimicrobial, sedative and
antioxidant action.
